I've really been enjoying more foody blogs recently, If you know any good ones leave me a link in the comments. So I've decided to start sharing recipes with you all. I made this lemon drizzle loaf with my grandmother this weekend. Sorry about the quality of the photos I didn't have my camera with me. This tastes absolutely amazing! I can't credit the recipe as my grandmother had it written down in a notepad but I assume it's from a magazine or old book.
Ingredients
Loaf:
6oz Unsalted Butter
6oz Caster Sugar
6oz Self Raising Flour
3 Eggs
Zest Of 2 Lemons
Pinch Of Salt
Drizzle:
2-3 Tablespoons Of Sugar
Juice Of 2 Lemons
Method
Heat oven to gas mark 3.
Beat all the loaf ingredients together.
Pour into a lined loaf tin.
Cook for 1-1&1/4 hours.
Whilst loaf is still in the tin sprinkle on the sugar and then pour on the juice.
Slice up and enjoy.
