M&M Cookies

Hey guys, it's another recipe post from me today. This type of post seems to be getting quite a bit of interest so I've decided to continue doing recipe posts as a regular feature on my blog. If there's a recipe post you'd like to see for something then leave any suggestions below and I'll see what I can do :)

This recipe came from Sally's Baking Addiction  which is a great blog for recipes. I altered this a bit as I only had a small bag of M&Ms and not a big bag.

Ingredients
2 Cups & 2 Tablespoons of Plain Flour
1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
3/4 Cup of Butter
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Sugar
1 Egg & 1 Yolk
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1 Packet of M&Ms

Method
Heat oven to gas mark 3.
Cream butter and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
Mix the flour with the baking soda and gradually stir in to form a dough.
Leave dough to chill for 10 minutes in the fridge.
Roll into small balls and flatten on a tray covered in greaseproof paper.
(Note: You need really small balls, mines expanded and I had to cut them off)
Press M&Ms onto the surface of the cookies.
Bake for 12 minutes or until they start to brown around the edges.
Enjoy :)
