The Beauty Bloggers Tag

I know that this is the second tag I've done this week but I was tagged by Natalie to do this tag a couple of days ago and it's very popular at the minute so I thought it was a good idea to do it sooner rather than later. Thank you Natalie!

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?

I've been messing about with blogging on tumblr for a couple of years I had never really written at length until I started this blog in January. I started watching beauty and fashion videos on YouTube a while ago and really wanted to make my own but just didn't have the confidence to do so. Then I noticed that most YouTubers had blogs as well and decided to start my own.

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?

Most important part about doing a blog post?

To me the most important thing about my posts is that I'm proud of them and that I would like to read them if  they were on other people's blogs. I know that initially my blog is for other people to read but I think that I also blog for myself and therefore need to be happy with the blog content.

What kind of camera do you use?

A 10 mega pixel Fujifilm Finepix

What was the first blogosphere hyped product you bought and was it worth the hype?

One of the Revlon lip butters and yes it definitely was.

What are your 5 favourite things about blogging and being a beauty blogger?

1. Getting to talk to all the other bloggers during the #bbloggers chats on twitter every Wednesday and Sunday, it's such a welcoming and friendly community.
2. I've definitely gained a lot of confidence since starting this blog, I've even linked my blog onto my twitter and this means people from school can see it(scary).
3. Making good friends. I'm hopefully going to meet up with Louise and Morag in Glasgow sometime soon for dinner.
4. Being able to feel proud of myself for sticking with something for this long.
5. Getting to talk to you all through the comments and knowing that there are people out there who really enjoy my posts.

What have you learned from being a beauty blogger?

That I need to put myself out there more, if I spoke to people at school like I speak to other bloggers then I'd probably have a lot more friends(not that the friends I have aren't great, I love you guys).

Have you changed anything since becoming a beauty blogger?

My entire blog is different now from the lay out to the content. If I could go back and look at my blog the way it was in January/February I'd probably be cringing so much.

What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?

Don't give up.
Speak to other bloggers.
Don't follow for follow.
Stay true to yourself.

You're favourite eyeshadow palette?

Either the Urban Decay Naked palette or the Sleek Storm palette.

The best beauty deal?

The £5 off No7 vouchers for sure!

Make up regrets?

Stupidly overdone eyeliner as a 12 year old scene kid.

What was I thinking?

Name your top 5 beauty brands?

1. Sleek
2. No7
3. Soap & Glory
4. Avon
5. Urban Decay

Recommend your top 5 beauty products?

1. Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It.
2. The Body Shop Candied Ginger Body Butter.
3. Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle.
4. Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask.
5. Avon Little Red Dress Mascara.
