Mars Bars Melts, My Turn

Hello everyone, if you read my February Favourites post then you'll know that The Londoner is one of my favourite blogs. One of the things that I love about it so much are the recipes that Rosie shares and I decided to try out the one from her MarsBar Melts post. Technically this one is cheating because it includes packet cake mix... but we'll let that slide. All in the name of chocolate, heh?

All you need for this is one box of Betty Crocker's Devil's Food Cake Mix, 3 eggs, oil and some Mars Bars. I'd recommend putting the Mars Bars in the fridge for a while, this will make them easier to chop up. Mix up the cake batter as per instructions on the box but leave out a little of the water so that the batter is thicker and easier to work into cookies. Then chop up some Mars Bars, about 6 slices per bar and then roll them around in the batter. Place them on a tray and cook at gas mark 4 for about 10 minutes.

These were sooooooo delicious! They were very chewy and chocolatey. Ahh, so good. I was able to make 16 cookies with the cake batter and had some left over for some cupcakes.
