Recipe: Bongo Bars

Hello everyone. As you may have seen in my summer to do list I'm going to be baking at least one thing from my food board on Pinterest every week of the summer. I decided to try this recipe for "bongo bars". Full credit for the recipe goes to Alyssa although I have converted some of the units into a different measurement.

6oz melted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 2/4 cup plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 packet of chocolate chips
3 eggs
2 lids of vanilla essense

1. Heat oven to gas mark 4 and grease a baking tray.
2. Combine the melted butter and brown sugar. 
3. Stir in the flour and baking powder to create a flaky mixture.
4. Add the vanilla essence and eggs and then after mixing add the chocolate chips.
5. Pour into the tray and cook for 25-30 minutes.
6. Enjoy

These were very quick and easy to make, it took me about 20 minutes to mix them up and then the cooking time. They were absolutely delicious, so gooey and chocolatey. Best served warm. In the original post  they were served with ice cream which looks absoluely amazing but I didn't have any ice cream. I have not yet grasped that food blogger skill of being able to make all my baking look delicious, but trust me, these are tasty.
