Review: Nivea In Shower Skin Conditioner

Tuesday, 3 September 2013

I've wanted to try Lush's Ro's Argan Body Conditioner for ages but the £15.95 price tag had been putting me off. When I saw that Nivea had released a similar product for only £3.55 for a 250ml bottle I knew I'd be trying it out. I have very dry skin and find that if I don't moisturise every two or three days then my skin gets dry and flaky which is why I opted for the dry skin option. There is also an option for normal skin. The Nivea In Shower Skin Conditioner is supposed to be used after you have washed using a shower gel and rinsed off, much like a hair conditioner.

So how moisturising is it? I found that I felt quite moisturised after using this but I don't really feel like it can replace a proper moisturiser. It worked very well on most of my skin but I have certain patches of dry skin that this just wasn't able to budge. It's a bit annoying because I really wanted this to be a miracle product for me(I find applying a body butter after every shower so boring). For me, I'll stick to using this on in between days. This has the 'typical Nivea' scent which I find really hard to describe. I've heard some people say it's kind of like sun cream smell and I have to agree. I also found that a little does not go a long way with this product. After using it for about a week I felt like about half the product was gone. Now that I've gotten round to writing the review I'm struggling to find positive things to say. Yet I still really like this product. Do any of you guys feel like that about products? You don't really like them but still do anyway?
