Crabtree & Evelyn Handy Tips Event

Hello everyone. On Thursday night I headed along to the Edinburgh branch of Crabtree & Evelyn for their handy tips event. The shop is located on Hanover Street which just off of Princes Street. If you've been a reader of Water Painted Dreams for a while then you'll know that Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams are the only ones that I will really use. I work in an aquarium and the water really dries out my hands. No one else's hand creams compare for me. And I love their hand scrubs too. Anyway, at the moment all of the Crabtree & Evelyn stores have got a little tree in them. If you go into the store you can leave a tip on the tree and get a £5 voucher. The event was all about sharing these tips. I left mine which was 'always wear gloves when walking the dog'. I have a big dog who pulls a lot so I'd recommend wearing gloves when walking him so I don't hurt my hands on the leash. There were lots of other great tips too. They don't have to be specifically related to your hands, any beauty tips will do.

At the event we has a little mingle, some mango bellinis and some delicious cupcakes. There were also demonstrations of a few of the products. I opted for a a treatment with the pomegranate range. First off we used some of the hand scrub to properly get rid of all of the dead skin on my hands. The scrub contains lots of salts and oil and leaves your hands feeling so soft and smooth. When you wash it off the oils really moisturise your hands. Then a little scoosh of the handwash which is pH neutral to get rid of any residue. Finally finishing off with some hand cream. I promise you my hands have never felt so soft! I bought one of the pomegranate hand creams as I love the scent so much. I also really love the Citron range.

When we were leaving we got given a very generous goodie bag containing two nail polishes, a little pencil, a pomegranate hand cream and a little voucher. I now have two of the pomegranate hand creams so I am totally stocked up for the next few weeks. When I get my calgel taken off I'll be trying out the nail polish so will get back to you all about how that is! Thanks to the staff at Crabtree & Evelyn for such a lovely night and to Scott for organising the event!
