Review: Lush D'Fluff

Tuesday, 5 August 2014
Hello everyone. Lush recently released a few new products and among them was D'Fluff, a shaving soap. I'm going to be honest with you all and say that I hate shaving. I have very sensitive skin and often will end up with razor burn. I basically don't shave my legs at all during the winter because it is just too much work and I'll get them waxed at the start of the summer. I thought that I should give the D'Fluff ago as I thought it might be a lot more sensitive on my skin. Usually I use a Nivea shaving foam.

I've heard a lot of great reviews of D'Fluff and if I'm honest I feel very underwhelmed with it. I don't think it is a bad product but I do think it is very over priced for what it is. It has a very nice sweet scent but I don't think that it smells overly like strawberries, I was expecting it to be quite a strong scent.

My main issue with this is that a little does not go a long way. If you're going to use this on your legs then you're going to go through tubs of this like nobody's business. If you're going to use this on smaller areas then I think it could last you maybe 2 months? I definitely feel like I could get a lot more out of a can of shaving foam. It does feel very moisturising on the skin and that is probably the biggest benefit of this product but I still don't think that makes this product worth the money. I have still found myself getting some razor burn from this so if you have sensitive skin it is not going to solve all your problems.

I feel like this has been a pretty negative review and I didn't intend for it to go down this route. I just think for £5.75 for 70g of product you can probably get a lot more for your money from cheaper brands!
