No7 Lipstick Matching Service

Hello everyone. I recenly went along to the No7 counter in the Boots at Fort Kinnaird to try out their lipstick matching service. Fort Kinnaird is retail park in Edinburgh. They have loads of stores and restaurants and I like it there because its not as busy as Princes Street etc which can get really busy and cramped at times. You can see a list of all the stores here.

No7's lipstick matching service launched a few months ago as a follow up to their foundation matching service. I'm sure you've all seen the little device that they now have to match your skintone to their foundation range. When I went along my skin was matched, as I predicted, to the lightest shade. Calico.

From here they have little shade cards that recommend lipsticks from their range that will compliment your skintone. There will always be something from each colour category(eg a red or a plum) so you can always find something you'd like. I wanted to go for something a little bit more neutral. I have a done of bright reds and plums but not many 'everyday' colours.

What did I choose in the end? I went with Sweet Chestnut from the Moisture Drench Range* which is a lovely pink. I've already got a few No7 lipsticks and I really like the quality of them. They are very long lasting and very pigmented. Most moisturising lipsticks are very sheer and almost like tinted lipbalms but these are very opaque and last for a good few hours.

The lipstick matching service is something that can be done as a walk in if the store is quiet but you're best to book ahead to avoid disappointment. To do this you can either phone ahead or pop into the store to book an appointment. Thank you to the lovely ladies at the No7 who were so kind and helpful!
