March Reading Wrap Up

Wednesday, 1 April 2015
Hello everyone. Time for a very empty reading wrap up! I only read 3 books in March. I seriously do not know what has gotten into me lately! This year I've only read 11 books so far! I know that may seem like a lot to some people but in January 2014 I read 12 books.... So definitely been slacking! April should hopefully be a better month in terms of reading because University splits up for Easter/exam revision on Friday! I will also be participating in the #readukya readathon organised by Lucy. This runs from the 6th to the 12th of April and the idea is to read as many books by UK authors as possible. I'm very excited!

The Art Of Being Normal by Lisa Williamson - This is a YA novel about a boy who wants to be a girl. He spends his spare time reading all about it on the internet and he is really sure that its want he wants. What he has always wanted. His two best friends know but his parents don't. He thinks thay his parents think that he's gay and they seem to be ok with that but he doesn't know how they would handle him transitioning. So this story is all about that and its just such a great book. It should have been written years ago because I think it tells a really important story. I really enjoyed this one and gave it 4/5 stars.

Not That Kind Of Girl by Lena Dunham - This has been getting a lot of positive attention since it came out but I personally didn't really enjoy it and found I had to force myself to read it. Its the autobiography of Lena Dunham and to be honest I'm not her biggest fan either. The book kind of bored me, I think she tried really hard to make herself cool and edgy but I found she contradicted herself a lot and the book had no real flow to it. I have it 2/5 stars.

Under My Skin by James Dawson* - I've already read this book in full which you can read here. This is about a shy, quiet girl who gets a pin up girl tattoo. The tattoo then starts to talk to her. At first she is helping her out, but then she starts to take over. Really interesting read that I really enjoyed. I gave it 3/5 stars.

What books did you read this month? And if you've read any of these what did you think of them?
