The Body Shop Vitamin C Moisturiser

Friday, 10 July 2015

Hello everyone! Today I'm posting a skincare review for the first time in forever(no Frozen references please). I was kindly sent The Body Shop's Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser* from The Body Shop store at Fort Kinnaird. Fort Kinnaird is a shopping centre/park in Scotland. It's a short bus journey from Edinburgh's city centre and has a ton of shops and restaurants(and a Five Guys, nom). This moisturiser is one of the new releases from The Body Shop and fits in with their existing Vitamin C range.

So onto the moisturiser. I'm a big fan of The Body Shop's skincare and this is no different. Last year I tried out the Vitamin E version and whilst it was nice it had a really weird texture to it. It was kind of bitty and made your face feel kinda fluffy. The Vitamin C Moisturiser looks similar in texture but is completely smooth and feels so refreshing on my face. It feels very cooling and is definitely the perfect answer to hot summer days. My skin can switch between really dry and really oily and this is a great moisturiser for when my skin is feeling normal to oily. Its not quite moisturising enough to cut it when my skin is feeling dry, then I'll use another moisturiser that's a bit thicker.

After using this for around two weeks I can definitely say that I think my skin looks a lot brighter. It feels a lot cleaner and really fresh. I think the scent of this definitely helps it feel really refreshing. It smells exactly like the orange part of a rocket ice lolly. It also smells kind of 'fizzy'. Don't ask me how something can smell fizzy but that's just what the scent is saying to me! I don't think I could use this as an every day moisturiser as its quite light but I can use it pretty often on days where I only what some light moisturising.

What's your favourite moisturiser?
